Pros

Appfire offers a fantastic work culture built on trust, flexibility, and employee well-being. The fully remote work model provides excellent work-life balance while empowering employees to manage their work effectively. Despite being a completely work-from-home organization, collaboration remains strong, and employees have ample opportunities to connect with colleagues across global teams. The people are one of Appfire's biggest strengths. Colleagues are supportive, approachable, and always willing to help. The culture is inclusive, positive, and genuinely people-focused, making work both enjoyable and rewarding. Leadership encourages open dialogue and transparency, creating an environment where employees feel comfortable sharing ideas, feedback, and concerns. There is a strong emphasis on mutual respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The company also demonstrates reliability through timely salary payments and consistent annual appraisal cycles. Overall, Appfire is a great place to work for anyone looking for flexibility, strong leadership, amazing colleagues, global exposure, and a culture that truly values its people.

Pros

Appfire has a strong remote-first culture. People are trusted to own their work, and there's a genuine effort to support work-life balance rather than just talk about it. The company values are embedded in our daily work and it's regularly seen when collaborating across departments and countries. Leadership encourages curiosity and continuous improvement, and there are plenty of opportunities to take on new challenges and grow your skills. I can honestly say that this is the brightest group of people I've ever seen at an organization. The global nature of the company also means you get exposure to different perspectives and ways of working. Appfire emphasizes flexibility, employee development, and a people-first culture.

Cons

Like many fast-growing companies, priorities can shift quickly, and keeping up with organizational changes can sometimes be challenging. Working across multiple time zones requires flexibility, and communication can occasionally take longer when coordinating globally. There is a lot of opportunity, but that can also mean balancing priorities. It's no secret that these challenges are present but the same would be true for any global organization.

Pros

- Culture that seems to actually care about its employees - Genuinely wonderful co-workers

Cons

- Heavily tied to Atlassian marketplace. As such, if Atlassian decides to make a tool that does what one of Appfire's apps does, that's lost revenue for Appfire. Similarly, if people start switching away from Atlassian products, they will have no need for Appfire products. - When I was let go as part of a reduction in force, it was a mere month or so after the most recent all hands where they claimed everything was great and that the last thing they'd ever want to do is let go of people. This also was preceded by the founder/CEO stepping down and a new CEO taking his place.
