Pros

- progressive ABA approach - thoughtfully-developed programs - outdoor play areas - some Montessori materials

Cons

- employee hierarchy is develop through nepotism / favoritism - no regular employee review for wages; instead, higher wages were offered when someone threatened to quit (exactly what we shouldn't do if we are following principles of ABA) - the clinic was often messy / unsanitary but everyone had to drop what they were doing (including insurance-billed therapy with kids) to clean whenever a potential client tour was scheduled - owners (who are married) would often fight in front of staff and clients

Pros

The BCBA who owns the place really knows her stuff. She is also very funny.

Cons

We are advised to block stimming, even when it's not dangerous. The owners definitely play favorites with staff members and can be super disorganized.

Pros

The other techs are friendly and easy to work with, you go to different places/settings so it offers variety and is more related to real life skill development for the kids

Cons

Highly unorganized and unprofessional, questionable aba techniques that did not seem effective, no consistency with interventions throughout the center among all staff, blocked stimming that was not dangerous or maladaptive, generalized not individualized BIPs that no one uses, get paid late and on different days, no one was ever on time, owners fought with each other in front of staff and clients
