Pros

I was fortunate to work with great colleagues and I learned a lot from this company. This is a great company for those who are starting in their career path to any field. Although my employment with this company was only shy of 2 years, I feel like you will learn a lot within 1 year with this company compare to 3 years with other companies. You will have to learn to adapt quickly and must be flexible to work on assignments that are outside of your job duties.

Cons

Although there are a lot of opportunities to learn, new obstacles seems to surface almost on a weekly basis. You will have to sacrifice some of your personal time to get the job assignment done. However, the overtime makes up for the lost personal time.

Pros

Enjoyed hands-on technical work such as: - Data modeling and diagram creation - Dashboard development - SQL development and querying - Improving data systems and supporting internal tools Work had clear impact when properly scoped (improving testing, safety, and quality processes) Broad exposure to multiple domains, including data, integration, and legacy systems Strong learning experience due to the variety and complexity of systems involved

Cons

The scope of the North America role was not realistic for a single data analyst - Functioned as the sole analyst supporting multiple acquired companies with complex, inconsistent systems Responsibilities extended well beyond a typical data analyst role - Included elements of data engineering, systems integration, database administration, IT support, and project management without corresponding staffing or structure Significant understaffing in the North American organization - Workload and expectations were consistently misaligned with available resources, leading to unsustainable demands on individuals High levels of technical debt across systems - Reliance on short-term fixes rather than long-term, maintainable architecture - Resulted in ongoing inefficiencies and rework Misalignment between headquarters and North American operations - Expectations and operational reality appeared disconnected, with structural issues often reflected as individual performance pressure
