Pros
You get to work in a variety of areas because there is no stability of projects. It is a good place for people who derive satisfaction from challenges and difficulties in their jobs and do not care much about respect and salaries.
Cons
IDIADA India also follows a hire and fire policy, with no job security. As soon as a lockdown was imposed in the state of Maharashtra in the end of March 2020, IDIADA took advantage of the opportunity to immediately lay off 38 of the 124 employees in Pune, with all the remaining employees given pay-cuts. Around 80% of the engineers in CAD and CAE were made part-time employees, with only the managers and some favourites being full-time employees. You will be offered a good package, but very often you will actually be paid only a part of it. The moment your project gets put on hold or cancelled, you will have no work and will be forced to accept pay cuts upto 50%. The annual ex-gratia bonus is also withheld often. Sometimes, you will have 50% pay and 100% work. They have no ethics in dealing with employees, but the hiring team is very good in presenting a rosy picture while hiring. They tell the candidates white lies and promise them the moon and the sun.
