Where to begin. First don't trust the five star reviews. In my experience the onboarding ask all interns and new hires to create accounts on Glassdoor and give Aprio five stars. Feedback is non existent. New accountants beware. There are people that are willing to help and mentor but they are very few and far between. They send out surveys to get the feel and feedback about different groups. The feedback is supposed to be answered by managers and above but often goes unanswered. If you are lucky enough to get a reply it is usually "Have you spoke to your manager or partner about this issue?" Yes I have, that why I am putting in the officevibe survey. Almost nobody lives by the fundamentals that are preached. Partners are supposed to have an open door policy but most do not. The process of completing a return is often unorganized. Many times the partner has the information but forgets to send it to the employees because they are often the only one to have any interaction with the client. Busy seasons are worked right up to the deadline. They are constantly changing software and processes with little to no training for anyone. They also like to change it in the middle of busy seasons for some reason. Pay is on the lower side. Most who leave often make much more in the same role at a different firm.
