Cons

Very micromanaged environment with little support or patience shown towards employees, both from management and some team members. There was often an expectation to take on responsibilities far beyond the actual job role, with little to no appreciation or recognition for the extra work. The overall culture felt quite toxic, particularly due to management styles across teams. Requests were often delivered as demands rather than respectful conversations, which created a stressful atmosphere. Work-life balance did not seem to be valued, and there was a strong expectation that work should come before everything else. Unfortunately, it was not a positive environment to work in. Management often seemed to forget that employees are human beings with lives beyond their 9–5 jobs. It’s quite sad that some people appear to find their only sense of fulfilment in the small amount of authority they have at work, rather than creating a supportive and respectful environment for their staff. Personally, I would not recommend working here. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with international global companies in multiple different countries where the culture is very different. There, employees are treated with respect and equality, kindness is part of the day to day environment which makes all of the difference.

Pros

Very difficult to identify positives based on my experience.

Cons

Unfortunately, the management culture in this office can be very difficult. There is often a high-pressure environment where staff feel constantly on edge. I have personally witnessed managers clapping in employees’ faces to make them work faster and raising their voices at staff while they are on calls if they are not speaking exactly how management expects. I have also seen colleagues become extremely stressed and upset due to how they have been spoken to and treated. Several staff members have been left in tears after interactions with management. Statements have been made openly such as “If you’re not happy with the rules, you know where the door is,” and staff have been warned that a single mistake could result in being placed on a PIP. This creates a culture of fear rather than support. Respect in a workplace should come from leadership and professionalism, not titles alone. Unfortunately that is often missing here, which leaves many employees feeling undervalued.
