This is an ultra running company with an ultra running philosophy - put your head down, keep going, and get it done at any cost. Expected to be at events almost every weekend for long hours with few breaks including sleep during multi day events. This is on top of copious prep work during the week. Thus there is little time for the process improvements that are also demanded. There is no effort put in by management to break this cycle and therefore burnout is very common. Pay and staffing have not increased despite huge growth over the last few years. Employees are expected to work more events for no increase in pay or benefits. Praise or acknowledgement is rarely given. When issues are brought to management, there is no support. There is no accountability for the quality of work and therefore undue burden is put on the staff who still care. At this point, the company runs at the expense of the employees who care about the trail running community.
