Pros

Outdoor work, supporting runners, many opportunities for quick problem solving

Cons

This is an ultra running company with an ultra running philosophy - put your head down, keep going, and get it done at any cost. Expected to be at events almost every weekend for long hours with few breaks including sleep during multi day events. This is on top of copious prep work during the week. Thus there is little time for the process improvements that are also demanded. There is no effort put in by management to break this cycle and therefore burnout is very common. Pay and staffing have not increased despite huge growth over the last few years. Employees are expected to work more events for no increase in pay or benefits. Praise or acknowledgement is rarely given. When issues are brought to management, there is no support. There is no accountability for the quality of work and therefore undue burden is put on the staff who still care. At this point, the company runs at the expense of the employees who care about the trail running community.

Pros

Time spent outside. So much potential. Runners are great. Lots of turn over, so you meet new coworkers often

Cons

The owners like to say things like "if you can't work long hours this ain't the place for you" as if it's a competition. What they mean is that they would like to abuse employees working insane hours (20+ hour shifts are not uncommon) for minimum wage with little to no accommodations. They have unrealistic expectations, so there is no path to success. No transparency from leadership. Very low pay. No accountability for coworkers, so problems get dumped on whoever still cares. Burn out is extremely common.
