Pros

No reason to work here. If you are willing to inject this much energy, time and personal resources into an independent work/lifestyle, keep looking.

Cons

Success depends on family / friends, your social and social media circle. That's why most people start with some initial success and enthusiasm. Once you've gone through your close contacts, then you are forced to hustle strangers. That's when it gets hard and the income stops. But the monthly Arbonne fees keep coming. However, and here when it absolutely resembles a pyramid scheme concept; you need to focus hard on recruiting new Arbonne reps. Why? You make a commission for recruiting them AND you receive a percentage of their sales as well! Then you encourage them to recruit and so on. You'll make a commission off everyone that person recruits as well, and thats how the Arbonne MLM / pyramid scheme works. When you see couples on Instagram promoting their wonderful lifestyle, products and programs etc, it's to get you to sign on as an Independent Consultant. The selling of products is just another little income stream, but the big money is in recruiting, and thats where Arbonne is just a cleverly disguised pyramid scheme structure. Their cool phrase is MLM - Multi-Level Marketing. One couple on Instagram from Canada a/ UK heavily promote their wonderful lifestyle. People don't know they afford this lifestyle not because of Argonne, but because the both working on cruise ships for 15 years and saved all their money. (and never declared it all to their govenemtn and pay income tax) Its easy to say money when you cheat on your takes. And THATS how they afford their wonderful lifestyle. It's not because of Arbonne. Fake fake fake.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on the experiences you’ve had as an Independent Consultant. Please feel free to contact our Business Ethics & Sustainability Team (B.E.S.T.) Department at Best.Arbonne.com, so we can address this matter with you immediately and learn more. Any concerns you share will be escalated for appropriate attention. Please note, Arbonne has been a proud member of the Direct Selling Association (DSA) for many years and upholds the highest standards of good practice through a Code of Ethics that goes beyond the minimum requirements of the law to protect consumers and independent distributors. The Arbonne compensation plan, referred to as the SuccessPlan, is not a pyramid scheme; it is a standard, legal sales strategy that pays commissions to Arbonne Independent Consultants who sell products to their customers and can build a team who does the same. Arbonne does not pay commissions solely for recruiting other distributors, and only pays commissions when products are sold to customers. Similar compensation structures are implemented by most direct selling companies. Conversely, a pyramid scheme is illegal and Arbonne does not operate such a scheme. Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.
