Pros
The people here are extremely smart and show a great deal of ingenuity. The work was challenging and working in the steel industry was very interesting and fun. The pay was average and I would say the benefits were slightly above average.
Cons
On multiple occasions politics superseded long term solution building and a reduction of moral. This combined with unclear career paths made new hire retention difficult. For the amount of time spent in East Chicago it would have been nice if the buildings included other amenities like a common place to eat or somewhere to exercise. East Chicago is not always the most hospitable place to find places to go out doors.
