Pros
It’s always positive work when you can help patients
Cons
Unfortunately for the providers who choose to participate in the provider group, the company tends to hire inept managers and directors who do not understand how the rest of the healthcare communities in the US function. Seldom are policies based on best practices. HR is particularly the most inept department in the practice. They don’t care much about unbiased reviews of any portion of their cases and they tend to skew the data to benefit themselves. The culture is about “every man for themselves” and not the individuals in their employ. They ignore complaints. The ones they review they only review the portions they want. And when you choose to leave, they don’t want to know why or what could be improved. Likely because they know they won’t fix it. It’s difficult to determine if it is related to the culture of ACP or if it is a directive from the executive team. Even providers admit to knowing about the long existing problems in their executive offices. Save yourself, find another company to work for - one that cares about their employees and doing the right thing.
