Pros
I aim to compose one, but currently, none exist.
Cons
The current CEO, who stepped into the role without prior leadership experience, has pursued initiatives that many perceive as misaligned with the company’s best interests. Significant spending under the banner of GenAI, along with repeated miscommunication of financial performance—including margins and cash positions—to the Board and investors, has created widespread concern.
A culture of favoritism has taken hold, where decisions increasingly rely on individuals who simply offer agreement rather than sound judgment. As a result, employee morale has deteriorated and talent across the organization is actively seeking opportunities elsewhere. Questionable expenditures, followed by successive rounds of layoffs seemingly intended to protect leadership’s image, have only deepened this instability.
To the CEO and Leadership Team: you are fully aware of the actions that have contributed to the decline of what was once an exceptional company. As many say, the fiercest battles are often fought for the chair. Continue with your politics if you must, but remember that accountability comes for everyone in time. The outward smiles and private disparagement of colleagues reveal more than you intend.
If this is today’s version of leadership, it resembles less a vision for the future and more a performance—one driven by ambition and ego rather than knowledge or integrity.
