Pros

I was on the fence about Asana initially because of the consistently low stocks, but my hiring manager and future colleagues excitedly talked to me and made me feel welcome throughout the interviewing process, which eventually won me over. Overall pros: - Great hybrid culture; lots of nice perks and amenities (free gym, cafe, hot breakfast and desserts, etc) especially in the SF headquarters - Very structured onboarding process with a lot of product training - High ceiling for growth on the individual contributor level, lots of opportunities for outsized impact on the mobile team particularly - Board members and even the prospective CEO come into the SF office for AMA's/fireside board chats

Cons

- I was not told during the interviewing process that the entire SF-based mobile team was laid off back in February of this year in favor of redoubling hiring efforts in Warsaw - Customers are churning to other collaborative work management products like Linear - Asana is definitely not mobile-first and lacks any in-depth editor support, both in the desktop and mobile apps. There isn't a centralized place to write and store documentation; internally we just use Github for technical docs and link Google docs on Asana tasks, which seems very ad hoc

Pros

Great work culture, very caring people. Good leadership in several areas of the company - solutions engineering is a strong point in the company. Lots of very tenured people who are still engaged and have a long term perspective on what works and what doesn't. Very helpful.

Cons

Recent direction has been a lot to take in, with there being a slight disconnect between how visionary the plan is and how it is being translated to the GTM function. It will likely catch up, lots of very competent leaders and people who have been at the company for years helping close the gap. Enablement and new hire onboarding was something I saw some challenges with, but because people care about you so much, you end up at a good spot quickly.
