Kansas City site is managed poorly. If only the states and businesses hiring us knew the real internal culture. - Anonymous employee Ascensus Employee Review

Pros

Middle management in certain departments is excellent, if Ascensus can keep them. Decent benes.

Cons

Lots. No upward advancement. Raises are a joke. Pay not on par with responsibility. Site top management is insincere and seems ruthless. The 'Core Values' are not followed. Unlicensed reps and temps are expected to discuss financial investments?! Poorly trained temp workers (not the temps' fault) make everyone's jobs harder. Trainers are often not specialized in what they are teaching. I've heard them make blatant mistakes, despite what I'm sure are their best efforts. Maybe hire trainers from the departments you are hiring for?

Pros

Excellent manager and team with streamlined processes. Benefits are greater than what I have seen in a majority of other businesses. The IT team generally moves very quick to resolve issues. HR/Hiring team was very quick and informative.

Cons

Only have two monitors when three would offer more efficiency. Although many tasks have SOPs and guides, some guides might not be updated (IE I found a guide that had the incorrect naming convention for a file). Any study materials needed to obtain relevant professional credentials are not covered by Ascensus. Obtaining relevant professional credentials also does not provide you with any bonus. You must wait a minimum of 12 months in your current position before wanting to change/pursue other job opportunities at Ascensus. The career ladder, at least in the Compliance team, seems rather narrow and limited.
