Pros
- You'll get in shape whether you like it or not. - Management doesn't understand how tough the job is, but coworkers do. They respect each another and will help you out.
Cons
- Employees are constantly pushed to overworking themselves. I made the target #'s but many pickers were fired for not hitting "prod". - Pay isn't good. Most are hired by staffing agency, who takes a cut of wages. - Employees are questioned for taking sick days. Limited time off. - Little social interaction, very isolating job (this might be a positive for some). - Cafeteria looks like a hospital. Food is what you'd expect. - We had no idea who senior management even was. Warehouse workers are disconnected from any decision making. They don't want your input on how to make things better.
