Pros

Some colleagues are nice but not everyone.

Cons

Was given a dirty desk with a broken chair on first day, no stationary and have to use personal pen to write for 2 days. During the interview , was told by HR that overtime is required only on urgent case but on the job for 2 day get to know OT till 8-10pm was expect daily for non urgent thing like helping boss to compare which item is good and cheap. The boss don't care whether you have taken your dinner, most staff can only take their dinner after work. The official working timing is 8:30am to 6:15pm (to maximized 44hours from MOM), non-official one expect staff to work from 8am -10pm (over MOM limit) . In addition, staff are expected to standby for any issues (including non-urgent one) on Saturday and Sunday. Staff was treated like a machine not a human.

Pros

Good learning experience with exposure to variety of projects that keeps the work interesting and engaging. The fast paced retail industry will also help develop adaptability and problem-solving skills. Good balance of independent work and team collaboration.

Cons

As with many retail industry, peak periods can get quite busy and timelines may occasionally be tight and may not suit everyone. Some internal processes could also be streamlined further to improve workflow efficiency.

Pros

nice colleagues and work life balance

Cons

Favouritism within management is very noticeable. The work environment can feel discouraging, with morale heavily affected by inconsistent leadership and lack of appreciation for staff contributions. Management tends to focus more on protecting themselves during issues rather than supporting employees constructively. There also appears to be ongoing cost-cutting, resulting instability within teams. Overall, job security and long-term growth can feel uncertain for employees.
