Pros

- A lot of great people who are great at their job always willing to go the extra mile for you. - Pre-summer 2022 it was a company on the bounce back with a lot of positives.

Cons

Despite the positive of there being a lot of great people, this is all put to waste by a specific number of ‘leaders’ at the company: - I have worked with some great leaders in different environments over the last 20 years. I have not loved every single one of them as this is not possible, however, I have always had a positive rapport and had positive comments about them all. Before working at Assetz, I would have never rated a leader I have worked with below a 7/10 from a Leader point of view. Its not by coincidence that I have encountered multiple leaders at Assetz who would be lucky to get a 3/10 from me. - They have a number of the poorest set of leadership skills I have ever seen in pivotal positions. Certain leader(s) will claim to operate in an ‘agile’ manner but not only do they not possess an agile qualification, but do not even know how to apply its principles. Everything is lip service. - Communication is the single most important trait in business and there are ‘leaders’ at the business who are not capable of communicating at a Pass SATS level. These leaders will line manage a whole team/department but will be incapable of communicating effectively to their team.

Pros

High ownership and visibility; genuine ability to shape delivery and governance. Deep expertise in specialist property and SME lending. Broad cross-functional exposure in a relatively lean organisation. Opportunity to influence strategic change rather than just execute. Faster progression for high performers compared with large corporates. 3/2 Hybrid working Office/Home.

Cons

Processes can be fluid, creating ambiguity and delivery friction. You must have an "Agile" mindset. Compensation typically competitive, but not market-leading. Smaller firm risk profile versus major financial institutions.

Pros

I feel trusted and respected in my role, with the autonomy to manage my responsibilities effectively. Communication is clear and transparent, and feedback is constructive and timely. I value the fact that my opinion is actively sought and feel that my work is meaningful. I am surrounded by knowledgeable and friendly colleagues who collaborate in order to deliver the best results. There are opportunities to develop for those who want to.

Cons

Some processes are evolving which is inevitable in a growing business.
