The work is extremely stressful. Assurant is a third party service providers for many mortgage companies. The customer services jobs pay the same no matter which mortgage company your represent, and all of the positions pay the same, but what is expected of you can vary tremendously. For example, in some customer service jobs give you at least 3-4 minutes between calls, but they usually get at least 10 - 15 minutes between calls. The position I had had the same pay, but we only got 30 seconds between calls, and we would have to take calls back-to-back for the entire shift with only 30 seconds between calls. Often the caller would hang up before you could finish the notes you were required to put into the system, and you would still get a call in 30 seconds whether you were done or not.
Also, advancement within the company is not based on merit at all. It does not matter how good you are at your job. You can only advance if someone who is in a position to help you decides they like you. I saw people who never did there job and were on a final warning for attendance problems get promoted while people who were very nice and got along with everyone, were amazing at their job and had no attendance problems or disciplinary problems could never get promoted.
That is no way to run a company.
Also, medical benefits are a joke.
