Pros

Some genuinely nice people, outside of management

Cons

Toxic frat culture that starts in the C-suite and works its way downwards. A product built on the backs of other people's content, which is fitting, given that the company was started by the owners of the Chive (also monetized by ads on pages of user submitted content) who made their money by placing Bill Murray's image on T-shirts (an idea the founders publicly admit was stolen from a street vendor). Ironically, some of the most unethical behavior I've ever heard of came from the HR department, which should tell you where the line is, but management across all departments had their own huge ethical lapses. I have never worked for a company so lacking in professionalism.

Pros

Currently Atmosphere is a fantastic place to work. The culture is incredible - e are treated like adults and given autonomy to succeed, but leadership is always there to help when we need it. Blake is an amazing CEO, leader and operator and truly cares about his employees. We obviously went through some tumultuous times, but we’re now in a great place. The tech and ad ops team are second to none. The HR team is constantly asking for feedback on everything from company culture, our current team, management and our benefits. They are making continuous efforts to improve and it is very much appreciated. Leadership is also the most transparent with high level details like financials, opportunities and challenges. It truly has become a special place to work

Cons

We’re a very lean company and it feels like we are doing the jobs of 3 people, but I understand we are a startup and need to manage our finances and headcount slowly and smartly.

Pros

Constant innovation in the engineering department, a world-class sales team, a friendly and collegial work culture.

Cons

Strategically pretty ruthless. Not afraid of removing people if they're not working out, even at scale.
