Pros
It's a large company with a strong Adobe Commerce representation. It seems beneficial to have such experience on your resume. The HR team is pleasant and was very supportive when I faced personal issues right at the beginning.
Cons
I was initially hired for a three-month probation period. During this time, I worked with a small team in Europe that served a large American e-commerce company. I encountered some cultural differences, but the most significant challenges stemmed from communication issues. Due to time zone disparities and cultural variations, I believed effective communication would be crucial for our collaboration. Unfortunately, this expectation was not met. Messages containing my queries and concerns were often delayed, and at times, responses were nonexistent. Additionally, task instructions were poorly written and lacked essential information. This combination left me in a very uncomfortable position. In addition to that, I was hired as a back-end developer, and that constituted the content of my interviews and tests. Approximately 60% of the tasks were related to layout work. After a few weeks on the project and active participation in customer meetings, I was invited to a meeting with someone who had never engaged in direct conversation with me. In that meeting, they informed me of their decision to let me go, including a question about my past work experience. After going through a challenging six-step hiring process for a few months, I was let go in less than two months without receiving any feedback. This happened only after their decision was made.
