The environment is extremely stressful. Management is literally watching you at all times from the windows above and if they have an issue with the way you do something, they'll send you a passive aggressive email instead of confronting you. A majority of the employees are fake and ignore you if you are a lower rank than them. I've had customers wait for more than 30 minutes at my desk for someone because they would not answer my calls or look me in the eye when I physically went to get them. You cannot be sick, or else you'll be made out to be a horrible employee. If a customer wants to be transferred to a specific dept and that dept just "doesn't feel" like taking the call, YOU are stuck with them calling 7 times an hour and yelling at you. Receptionists are constantly quitting because of low hours/treatment and no chance to move up in the company
