Pros

The company offers exposure to much bigger and more competent companies in the industry, and the office is fairly relaxed.

Cons

No real engineering goes on at the place. Many employees felt unsafe because the development of vehicle control platforms was often done by one individual with virtually no oversight, often times from out of the office. Only recently after the acquisition by Hexagon has "safety" even shown up on the radar for engineering, and even then it did not seem to be taken seriously. The "coolness" factor of working with autonomous vehicles was greatly tempered by the fact that on a day-to-day basis, you would be unsure that someone else's code might end up harming you. Many managers and director level individuals know little to nothing about the company's own products, or how to use them. The demonstrations shown to the customers are often the same every time, and demos never go off without a hitch. It often felt like all the effort went into getting something working once for show, and never really refining it. Many in the company shared that opinion, and we were "heard," but nothing changed. The company would probably be alright if you got in years ago, and by a stroke of luck were elevated to a directorial position. But, that ship has sailed, as many newer managers were outside hires. In short, everything seems like a facade put on to attract a larger company for acquisition. Now that that has happened, I'm not sure what is driving the company.

Pros

- There is opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology. - Office environment is some-what relaxed. - AutonomouStuff offers good benefits. - Integration and Engineering teams are working on cool stuff.

Cons

- Management does not understand how to grow employees. - Some teams do not work collaboratively, and, in many cases discourage it. - Employees are pushed to create quantity not quality. - There is no room for good ideas from team members that are not leadership. - Marketing is old and stale with no room for change. (this is pointed out only for marketers looking to market for a cutting-edge technology)
