Pros
Some incredibly knowledgeable and helpful people. Start off with 3 weeks of vacation (just note it takes 11 years to get another week). If you have the drive, there are lots of opportunities to work hands on and gain strong knowledge and understanding of chemistry and manufacturing.
Cons
The company lacks the ability to generate a clear vision of the future. This not only stems from the higher turn overrate of senior leadership, but management at the plant levels. Leaders do not actually lead, lack ability to development talent, nor do they inspire. Due to high turnover, lots of lost knowledge and the need to wear a lot of hats. It not untypical to do significantly more than your role was ever meant entail. Working after hours is common practice. The work environment can become quite hostile at times. It is not uncommon for leadership to punish people for mistakes. It is not uncommon to see people throw tantrums when they do not get their way or when they are inconvenienced. It is not uncommon to see cliques and gossip. It creates a very exhausting environment to navigate through. Aside from that, pay is mid and bonus is only 3% before tax on average after they pull in all their factors to reduce bonus amounts.
