- Rapidly growing company, constantly hiring - Novel therapeutic modality, interesting science - Small enough to wear many hats and learn about different aspects of biotech, both vertical and horizontal career mobility within company - A Fun Committee throws events several times a year, and there are weekly free delicious meals

Cons

- Projects and goals change very often, making it hard to build expertise and show productivity in one field - Be prepared to start from scratch if you join. For scientists, you start from buying essential equipment. For others, you are the first person in your department/role and need to establish the standard. - No women in senior management

Yes, direction and strategy are some of the toughest things for a start up to set and stay with. It's why an entrepreneuial environment is a challenge for many. You have to love it!
