Pros
There are lots of training opportunities here for first-timers, and veterans alike. If you want to move up in the company, and you exhibit competence in your position, you will be able to excel. Management, at least in my district, is wonderful and readily praises good work. Starting as a part-time teller with no experience, I was immediately given two weeks paid vacation, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) (company match after one year), as well as many other amenities.
Cons
The management structure, benefits, and opportunities are great, but BBVA Compass is *WAY* behind the curve on employee-facing technology and systems infrastructure. Computer systems load slowly, PC's run on outdated operating systems, and the internet browsers are beyond ancient. There are frequent software bugs on the intranet site, and sometimes database crashes will prevent us from being able to access client information thus hampering our ability to process transactions (which makes for very livid clients). This is the only major complaint I have for BBVA Compass.
