Pros

The only benefit is the ability to work from home, although we are required to be in the office one day per week. Health benefits such as dental care, private insurance, wellness programs, and a safe working environment in the office are also offered

Cons

Some supervisors tend to micromanage, forcing us to go to the office while management continues to complain about noise levels, even though it’s obvious that we work in customer service and speak with live clients in the office. Bonuses are solely performance-based, yet there is a lack of leadership to motivate the team, and no growth programs in place. It can take up to 2 years and 5 months to be considered for promotion to Level 2, with the raise being only a $160 difference from Level 1 to Level 2. The workload for certain accounts is disproportionately high compared to others; some agents handle only 5 calls/emails per day, while others are managing over 20 interactions. Furthermore, many supervisors lack leadership skills, and I don’t see management working on developing these skills nor selecting individuals with strong leadership potential to nurture and grow within the company. As a result, many travel consultants are demotivated due to the removal of top performance incentives by current management

Pros

The company used to give raises every 6 months based on performance.

Cons

We have not been given raises in years and they always have an excuse as to why they have to push it off til later, even our 0-3% inflation “raises” are put off until further notice. We no longer have sick leave or PTO and they say we should be grateful for that because if we were to leave the company they wouldn’t pay out our PTO to us, but they will pay out our vacation. If you need any kind of time off good luck, you need to know when your children will get sick months in advance, otherwise you accrue attendance points which will get you closer to being fired. Work force management pesters management about what we’re doing and why every single minute of the day. If we are late for scheduled breaks or lunches by a couple minutes they need to know why. If you have to deal with a traveler longer than usual you need to send multiple messages to management explaining why. It’s horrific micromanaging and we are treated like children now. You can find better pay at any other business travel management company while also being treated like a human being and not a number.
