Pros

The company mission to reduce expenses has been consistent and is executed well. THe newest plan/strategy has set forth some real targets - top quartile performer. The company is making real progress in driving a culture of diversity and I think the campus recruitment strategy has promise if the company can stick with it.

Cons

The company as a whole and especially the Investment Services businesses has no growth strategy. While the Investment Management business has growth potential they get lost in the numbers. THe goal to be a high performing culture is overally focused on target numbers of low perfomers versus recognizing and rewarding high performance --which means that managers spend most of the time identifhing who should leave versus retaining those who stay. The leaders are always looking for cost savings and will quickly abandon investments and initiatives which means that if you are good and are put on one of these projects, you are at risk. The new People Report had a lot of promise but I just saw it and it's pretty lame and lifeless.

Pros

After the latest re-structuring and going agile, I don't find any. But before, a stable bank with a good book of work. Positive environment with support from your colleagues. Industry standard medical plan and vacations.

Cons

Bonuses and salary raises are hugely dependent on who you know in the senior management and how they perceive you rather than what you actually delivered.
