Pros
The people are BNY Mellon were always fantastic. Paid time off can be generous depending on your level.
Cons
BNY Mellon was a wonderful place to work when I joined the company in 2016. Once Charlie began his reign, everything went downhill. Between layoffs and hiring freezes, my department lost numerous employees without the ability to replace them. Employees were working long hours to compensate for the reduction in workforce and management did not care. There were no promotions because of cost cutting. Some promotions were deemed "merited" by management, but not possible because of funds. There is no opportunity to advance within the company. Once you are in one department you are relegated to it forever with few exceptions. With a 1% or 2% raises each year there isn't much incentive to stay. Oh and the fact that the bonus pull for eligible employees dwindles year after year...
