The good is very good the bad is very bad. - Engineer BRAIN CORP Employee Review

Pros

Most of the people are really great to work with. You have positive, intelligent, capable, fun and team oriented people, that truly make the company as a whole. Especially the engineers, not management. Catered lunches, abundant food and drink, and for the most part freedom to do your job (depends on team), though some of the managers don't care about your health and micromanage.

Cons

Awful location, traffic is bad am and pm. Similar to another review, I've been working here a little over a year full time. They don't offer competitive pay. Very little work life balance. You can work through Christmas, weekends and nights, and it's expected as if it's the norm. Management won't care. Impossible deadlines, multiple things/projects all due at once and you're in a constant state of fires. Things get poorly prioritized and management will push features and projects, despite not having a current one functioning smoothly. The men's bathroom situation is ridiculous, you have 120 people sharing 2 stalls and urinals.

Pros

- Great environment to learn, try new things, and get exposed to all sides of robotics - Many opportunities to show your worth and take ownership - Engineering organization is flexible, communicative, and understanding. - Generally a good work-life balance.

Cons

- Executive and product team seems clueless on how the company will continue to make money - Company is trying to sell too many products without even having any flagship products that consistently make money - Still run like a startup that sustains itself on engineers being understaffed and overworking themselves to keep the company above water - Corporate side of the company is completely disconnected from engineering
