Pros

The leadership here, the content we deliver, the staff you get to work with ... it's all incredible. It's like winning the lotto working here. Everyone truly cares about developing an individual while servicing clients equally. Work life balance is promoted and made possible. You're treated as an adult expected to accomplish a job and given autonomy over your schedule, whatever that means so long as your job is done. All levels have a voice and the direction the company and business units are headed in if they want. If you care about learning, feeling challenged (not overwhelmed), and getting developed by literally world class leaders this is the place for you!

Cons

You have a few egos you run into here, but it's far from the norm. Being unkind or unreasonable is not tolerated at any level.

Cons

In the 2 times I have worked for BTS I have been misled on the environment/situation I would be working in. Which has led to serious issues. The first time, I was recruited I moved my family across the country for a position that had 16 turnovers over a 2 year period due to the toxic government leadership. I was not given any heads up and was put in a seriously challenging position for both my career and financial wellbeing. The second time I took a job with BTS, I was told the contract had just been awarded for 5 years. However, once I arrived, again having moved my family across the country, I found out the contract was on a 6 month extension. There are other issues on the administrative side, and all I will recommend is to document everything. You WILL need the proof sometime down the road. All in all, I would say at times BTS was good, but mostly they operate in the morally gray to keep that top line up. Was fired over voicemail, for not working overtime (just working a standard 40 hour work week at night!) while I was recovering from the flu. No notice, no conversation, just canned. If management had taken a moment to speak with me, I could have provided email proof I had approval to take a slight step back while I and my family all recovered from the flu.
