Good product, bad environment - Regional Vice President BVS Performance Solutions Employee Review

Pros

Pay is good, commission is decent and paid monthly which is a huge bonus. They do not give you access to your email away from the office so when you go home, it's truly your time away from work and work related things. Benefits are mediocre at best.

Cons

Poisonous environment and turnover is ridiculously high. They have no tenured employees other than one whose been there for ten years. micromanagement is the name of the game there. turnover has apparently always been high and there is no room for growth at all. If your ambitious, I guess this is a good place to time-keep until a better opportunity presents itself.

Pros

There are some good people who work here (e.g., Michael Sacks). They can give you actionable advice on how to progress accounts, demo the product, and ultimately be successful.

Cons

Michael Sacks is (as of December 2024) in poor health. Accordingly, managing the sales team has fallen to Phyllis Simon, the CEO's wife. She confuses age with wisdom and thinks she is God's gift to sales. In your 1-on-1's with her, she will berate you for every little thing you did wrong. If you haven't done anything wrong, she'll make something up. Ever heard the phrase "there's no such thing as a dumb question"? To Phyllis, there's no such thing as a good question. She is not there to help you. Turnover has been a problem for years there, and of the half dozen former salespeople I've spoken to, each has specified Phyllis as the problem. If it was just me, fine, maybe I'm bitter. But it isn't just me.
