Pros
Great people and cohesive teams at the middle and lower rungs. Good work-life balance.
Cons
The cracks in the business and its offering are starting to show. The company has been steadily losing revenue as it relates to new accounts and existing clients. Some key accounts have decided against renewing their contract. No major new wins in more than a year. The company has run out of money. Mass layoffs, drastic reductions in employee benefits and regular churn in leadership roles have been common during the last 12 months. Every townhall is the harbinger of some depressing news. Employee morale is at an all-time low. The leadership team is boys' club, most of whom have worked only within Backbase, or have spent so many years in it, that they have grown to ignore the outside-in approach.
