Pros

Everyone at the company is filled with so much dedication and passion for the product they are building - it is incredibly inspiring. Working with such people has encouraged me to step out of my own role and participate in other areas of the company I would not have otherwise been involved with. I have experienced such personal and professional growth while working at Backplane. I owe this to working with a team that is willing to help whenever it is needed - but who also challenges me and allows themselves to be challenged.

Cons

Having two offices made teamwork difficult at times - but that has all changed now that everyone is centralized at one office. Transitioning to one office was the best thing that has happened at the company. Integrating everyone has eliminated the hardships previously faced.

Pros

The people at Place are upbeat, hardworking, and really care about their product. I enjoyed working with each and every team member. The CEO, Scott Harrison, has an amazing vision for the future of Place, and I wish nothing but success for the whole company.

Cons

Not many cons to speak of, although they are currently switching offices, which can be a little hectic.

Pros

The company today is not what it was when I started. The business and team has moved from early startup mode and is working on scaling. The team has changed, but in no way has it lost the best talent. Like any team, we have had a couple of people move on that we care about, but we only cheer their new opportunities. Our product and engineering teams are as courageous as they are and building the best products on top of the most modern toolchain possible. If fact, I have never worked with a more talented group of people. It's amazing to be working on difficult problems with The true character of people is shown when the challenges are the hardest. While we have had a couple of people move on we have cheered their new opportunities. In no wa

Cons

The business was originally separated in two offices but is now in SF. That transition was tough but we love where we are now and love having space to do meetups with the users of our system. The sophistication of our product is a lot of work given such a small team, but we are working hard to build out the team. Dealing with the legacy opinions of people that most of use have never even met is a problem that continues to hurt us.
