Pros

-office management is great, professional, and remain calm and have a positive outlook in even the most annoying situations. -they r adding courses such as first aid for employees for a reduced cost. -the most flexible job for students by far -only require a 3-5 shift minimum per month

Cons

-with the exception of one or two, the 16 or so supervisors make an effort to remain disconnected from regular employees and keep themselves in an inner circle. -most shifts involve bag checks, or even pat downs and a lot of talking to incoming patrons which is exhausting, and site security is limited. They pay a bit more '$16/hr, but u r absolutely working for that money. -most shifts r 4-5 hours long and r not always worth the commute. -some sites have no parking, some have no ctrain access.

Pros

-meet people from everywhere -go to concerts for free -very flexible schedule, you pick the shifts -many options for shifts in the summer months where they are at almost every concert in Alberta -travel to random locations in Alberta for concerts

Cons

-some awkward situations can occur depending on the amount of alcohol sold and the length of the concert. -pay could be better seeing as it can be difficult to find people to work longer shifts in the summer time especially -management an appear mean to some but I've found them really easy going -some people quit and you get used to them being around -this isn't a company you wait around to advance with just due to its size.

Pros

Extremely flexible scheduling, amazing colleagues, excellent management, and free concerts/sports games! Very good experience that will positively change the way you communicate with people and solve everyday problems. The starting wage is incredibly competitive; Backstage Support Services is by far the best in the event security company in the industry.

Cons

Some shifts can be very slow and boring. Others are extremely fast paced and will take everything out of you. Some patrons that we deal with can be really nasty, and some can be incredibly frustrating. If you're not comfortable dealing with an incredibly diverse range of people, you won't be comfortable working here.
