Managers in place are ill suited to supervise employees with more experience than they have. Egos get in the way of compliance. When acquisitions are made, the BOTO Manager may not be the best suited supervisor for the combined group. Just because they happen to work for the legacy bank, doesn't make them the most knowledgeable. They throw people at problems instead of trying to solve the problem through practices and procedures.
