Pros

Great coworkers at individual level - not corporate

Cons

If you like to be micromanaged and abused by corporate, work here. If you like false promises and to feel stressed out because of corporate, work here. Some people can make the money they promise. Most can’t. No benefits. They hire anyone that comes in. You aren’t paid hourly. You are paid commission. The managers do their best to help you succeed, but if you aren’t willing, they can’t help you either. You are docked if you lose premiums. You are also charged a fee for a tablet (and the data if you go over) every week. Management and admins are made to look like the bad guy when corporate lets them all take the fall. Not sure how this company is BBB accredited. Leaving this company was the best thing I ever did.

Barden Circulation Response

Thank you for leaving your feedback. Were sorry to hear about your negative experience, but I'm glad to hear that you have worked with some great colleagues at Barden Circulation. We realize that pay is important to all of our staff, and we do the best we can within the financial goals and limitations of the business. In some cases, we also recognize that individuals feel they must be paid more than we can afford to pay them for the role that they have, and sometimes they simply must move on. Whatever the case may be, we do want you to know that we value our employees and the hard work they do.It's our goal to do what we can to ensure success. We encourage our employees to reach out to the proper individuals if there is a need for more support or a listening ear. If you wish to have a more in depth discussion regarding your feedback, I encourage you to reach out to me directly. Rbarden@bardencirculation.com

Pros

Some nice people. There are days that you can and do make nice money.

Cons

They mislead about hours expected, money expected per shift, etc. The people making an OK income are also working 12 hour days, 6 days a week. You have no say in where you work, who you work with - everything is assigned last minute. You get charged for your clothes, for booth space at events, meanwhile you don't get paid for multiple meetings each week, transporting carloads of stuff to events, etc. Finally there is no investment on the company in your future... no wages, profit sharing, 401k, medical or any other benefits. They run it like all staff are cogs in a machine, and thats why 90% of people leave within a few months (or days).
