Pros
I think at its core, the company strives for high ideals and generally tries to do the right thing. If you're going to work for a big corporation this one is certainly better than big pharma! When I worked there, there were a lot of opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, like cooking classes and team-building exercises (like gardening, the company Christmas party, escape rooms, etc). The decor of the office is beautiful. Free food, especially pasta. The CEO is an amiable Frenchman. The salary was enough. There was some travel.
Cons
There were lots of meetings where we sat in a circle and waited our turn to speak. Awkward. It's probably changed a lot since COVID. My boss had health issues and drank too much. A lot of the employees I met binge-drank on the company's dime and I regret that at first, I tried to fit in with them. There was an attitude of "that's the company's money - not 'my' money" and employees generated a painful amount of waste, including a horrendous amount of food waste at company dinners. I did not feel inspired to be the best version of myself. I ultimately left because the company fell short of my expectations based on how it was portrayed during multiple rounds of interviews.
