Pros

Got to put my Customer Service Skills towards helping customers. Was appreciated by customers more than by Bass Pro Shops . Found out how businesses slowly get a bad wrap and I don't have to wonder why once my favorite outdoor store one day went down under. :(

Cons

Company states they are family oriented NOT. Missed more events with my family than I dreamed of and BPS didn't care because it is all about them and the word "RETAIL". Go far and beyond to show you are a hard driven worker and the managers feel threatened and start making you feel you did wrong by turning against you and bullying you to make you look bad to Corporate and to other employees. Unfortunately Corporate doesn't care either, I worked as a lead and was treated like i had a disease. Corporate listens to the Older "Click" Personnel than they do the hard working employees that carry the company forward. Highest turn over rate I ever seen in a company . BPS should worry about their products in the store rather than be pushy on the third party products"credit cards and Gear Guard programs it is alright to mention it but not 5 times- it drives customers away .

Pros

Bass Pro Shops has a strong team culture, and the people are one of the best parts of working here. I've had the opportunity to work with talented and supportive coworkers who are willing to collaborate and help each other succeed. The company also offers exposure to large-scale marketing initiatives and provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects across multiple channels and business areas.

Cons

The compensation and benefits package could be more competitive, especially when compared to similar marketing roles in the industry. Project timelines are often extremely aggressive, leaving little room for unexpected challenges and creating a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. While the work can be rewarding, the combination of tight deadlines and limited resources can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance at times.
