Pros

I loved my managers and coworkers. Everyone was really nice and it was really easy to get along with everyone. I worked over seasonal, so it's a bit overwhelming with the amount of people they hire. The managers gave good feedback, as to what you need to work on and what you did good. I always love getting my Gratis from work and they reward you for working on Christmas eve!

Cons

Closing the store was a pain. The store was never closed in time, at least on the nights I had to close. It was basically one associate (me) straightening and restocking all the walls, along with the display tables. The manager is busy dealing with closing registers and other stuff. There's usually one other person, but they were working in the back with shipment. With the BBW store size I worked in, it was literally impossible to close within an hour. I always extended my shift until I couldn't. Another annoying thing was call in shifts. I had tons of them during a period time and I never can make plans! They never call me in when I have nothing to do but always do when I want to go somewhere else. The amount of call in shifts given is ridiculous.

Pros

Great brand to work for! Corporate leaders are great at motivating team down to associate level. (Not sure about Daniel yet though, I’m mostly referring to the tentured leadership team) There’s access to tools that offer clear communication (almost too much communication sometimes). Development is the core of this brand and managers are trained to foster internal talent when it’s identified. The product sold here is cherished by a huge fanbase as well- customers feed off of the excitement the associates have around the product.

Cons

Operationally demanding and challenging; don’t underestimate how much labor and planning goes into selling candles and lotion.
