Pros

There is nothing good about working for this company.

Cons

Call in shifts (What an abusive tactic) I have seen employees have nothing but call-in shifts for an entire month and never get any hours out of it. The employee is expected to call in an hour before the shift starts to see if they are needed. It can take 10 minutes to get a manager on the phone, and then they will put you on hold while they look to see if they need you. (If an employer is requiring an employee to call in they should be ready to receive the call when it comes in and have pertinent information for the employee.) .If they do not need you for the shift you are not compensated for you time. if you fail to call in for these call in shifts it is considered a no call no show. Sometimes even for regular scheduled shifts they will call you an hour before the shift to say they are cutting your hours. Sometimes they will know first thing in the morning who they will not be using for their call in shifts that day, and yet they will not let the employee know so that they they can make other plans for the day. They pay minimum wage. So a bottle of lotion whose second ingredient is petroleum cost $4.00 more than an hour of human labor. It took nine months to make at Bath and Body Works what I have made in the last 3 months at my current job. Both jobs are part time sales associate positions, and at both of them I have had full availability. Number of hours on the schedule are similar,, but three quarters of the scheduled hours at Bath and Body Works were call in shifts that took up time I was not compensated for. The body lotions are full of petroleum and parabens, and the hands soaps have triciosan.in them. If you don't know about these ingredients I encourage you to do your homework. Employees have a lot of headaches from the fragrance oils that are burned in the stores, and they are sick a lot with respiratory issues which I think is related to the room oils as well. The turn over rate for sales associates, sales lead and co-managers is the highest I have ever seen anywhere.

Pros

I previously worked in the field (for a different brand) and we were always so weary of corporate teams coming into the stores. However, the corporate team at Bath & Body Works is absolutely incredible, supportive, and does everything they can to advocate for the stores. The entire Store Ops team is full of people who care deeply about the brand, the store associates, and the customer.

Cons

A lot of meetings. But being remote, it was nice to see faces throughout the day!

Pros

We offer two fully remote weeks per year, in addition to three designated in‑person days.

Cons

The organization lacks a cohesive strategy and shows persistent resistance to change despite declining stock performance over the past several years. Our product and marketing efforts are no longer resonating with consumers, leadership effectiveness is inconsistent, and there are no defined career pathways for performers. Teams often work long hours due to constant rework and unclear direction. Firing the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Merchandising Officer have been some of the few genuinely strong decisions. They were terrible, outdated, and caused swirl.
