Pros

A few genuinely kind folks who are a pleasure to work with. They are sadly outnumbered.

Cons

1. Unapologetically toxic and unhinged culture. There's yelling in the middle of the office, textbook abusive bosses who constantly belittle/berate employees, and zero recourse as this issue starts from the very top. This company greatly benefits from hiring mostly young women who are newer to the workplace; you will be overworked, underpaid, potentially harassed depending on your boss, and as thanks you may be strung along with empty promises of advancement. This is not a team-specific or individual issue; employees talk, even the "good" or "favored" ones, and they have frighteningly similar stories across departments. Doesn't matter though, as HR's heard it all and they can't do anything. As you can imagine, this creates a corrosive culture of fear, mistrust, and misery. Don't expect an environment where people/teams can openly collaborate, communicate, problem-solve and try new things together. Instead, expect to suffer in silence, dealing with the same issues over and over but with dwindling resources and no morale. The place was a graveyard when I left, and everyone remaining had the attitude of a POW. 2. Zero transparency or communication on the health/direction/vision of the company from leadership. Like, ever. 3. Non-competitive salary and benefits, and that's putting it nicely. 4. Aggressive disregard for work-life balance. Yes, this is the type of place where some bosses send late-night text messages about work. 5. Limited growth opportunities. Again, you will not learn anything or be challenged in any meaningful way. This is not a place where you can be curious or try new things, as all ideas will be shut down (and quite frankly, the company itself doesn't do anything new/challenging/exciting, soooo...). To end things on a positive note, it's been immensely rewarding to work at actually functional companies that bring out the best in their employees (or at least try to). Thank you BaubleBar for setting the bar so dreadfully, catastrophically low and making all my future experiences that much better. I'm still mad about the nightmares though.

Pros

You’re paid weekly and you don’t use phones unless customer needs too.

Cons

I completed a seasonal position at BaubleBar, and my experience was marked by significant challenges that ultimately led to my departure from the company. When I first started in June, I received only three days of training with a supervisor. This brief onboarding period left me feeling unprepared for my role, especially given that it was a busy summer season leading into the holiday peak. Initially, I was informed that my position would last until October, but due to the high demand for the upcoming Christmas season, I was asked to stay on. Despite my commitment to the company, I continued to face challenges related to insufficient training and a lack of communication from management. I proactively sought additional training and support, asking daily for guidance and reaching out via email to management for assistance. Unfortunately, the response I received indicated that the supervisor would only be available for a week, and I was left without the necessary knowledge to perform my duties effectively. The leadership team communicated that micromanagement would be provided only when deemed necessary, but I found that I received little to no support throughout my time there. This lack of guidance created a toxic work environment, where I often felt undervalued and overwhelmed. I was also asked to train new hires despite not having received proper training myself, which added to my frustration and feelings of inadequacy. After being assured that I could potentially continue with the company beyond the seasonal position, I ultimately faced termination due to mistakes that I believe were a direct result of inadequate training. The message I received stated that I would not be eligible for rehire due to these errors, which was disheartening given the circumstances. Overall, my experience at BaubleBar was not what I had hoped for. The lack of training, poor communication, and limited support created an environment that hindered my ability to succeed.
