One of BayWa’s standout qualities is its competent middle and senior management team, which consistently offers strategic guidance and practical support. This leadership strength creates a sense of trust and stability throughout the organization. In terms of compensation, the company offers competitive salaries and bonus programs, rewarding employees for their contributions while incentivising middle to senior management for a larger % based on company success. By capitalizing on the resources and expertise of a large global workforce, the company has found a successful balance between local autonomy and global support. Overall, I highly recommend BayWa r.e. Americas for anyone looking to work in a forward-thinking, people-oriented renewable energy company.

Cons

Limited interaction among remote employees across the U.S. can sometimes result in a lack of camaraderie or shared learning opportunities. While there are some challenges with global company policy and redundant procedures or departments, BayWa has taken notable steps toward empowering each local organization within the Americas to operate independently. Given the nature of our busy work, there’s limited communication with EMEA and APAC counterparts, which could provide additional insights or opportunities for collaboration. The intense focus on major sales or negotiations can occasionally detract from work-life balance. While these efforts often lead to positive and successful outcomes, they can be resource-intensive.

Pros

I was skeptical at first because from the beginning I felt valued as an employee. I finally had great pay, awesome work life balance, a solid team, and a manager that can relate and looks to build employees for their next position. I’ve been with the company for a while now and nothing has changed. Still the best company I have ever worked for.

Cons

Now that I can think of, and I have thought about it a lot.

Pros

Great supporting staff of technicians, performance engineering, ROCC (this may surprise some former coworkers that I thought very highly of them lol), OT, and NERC Compliance.

Cons

Significant disconnect between C-Suite and Upper Management level employees and field staff, lack of transparency, did not follow through on performance review for 5% salary increase after 90 days, motto “We don’t want to be the biggest, we want to be the best” does not match action.
