Pros
You'll learn quite a bit due to responsibilities falling in your lap that you're not trained nor ready for.
Cons
Racism, misogyny, ageism, and sexism run rampant in this business. If that won’t/doesn’t bother you, then I’m sure you can last a long time at this business. There’s no real HR so if you have a complaint or uncomfortable transaction there’s no level of privacy or discretion that’s kept by management. You’re not actually taught, prepped, or given any time to adjust to the workflow. You’re basically just thrown into the pool with everyone else. Management says they’re lax but that’s not the case. Extremely micro-managed depending on which department you work for. Some people are able to work from home and others not, and there’s no discernible reason for the people that are able to work remotely. When brought to management, they laughed at our faces and told us we didn’t know how to run their business. Management also unfortunately lies quite a bit. They’ll say one thing and do another to save face very often. No possible ways to receive raises either, they’ll tell you no almost every time, unless they feel like it. Even after providing reasoning and accomplishments. Employees are even asked to leave good reviews as well. So tread lightly.
