Pros
All staff below Director level is and always was the best part of this company.
Cons
If you want to be called ‘rude and unkind’; if you want to be gaslit into thinking the expectations of this company are at all reasonable and normal; if you want to not be paid what you’re worth - this place is for you. Tom Peacock and James Quinn, founders of Beautiful Digital, do not deserve to have their own company or be managers of staff. They may have the drive to attempt to build a business, but they certainly don’t have the people skills or have even one empathetic bone in their respective bodies to be remotely decent managers. It might help if they communicated, but they don’t even like each other so really what can you expect. Staff time and again have volunteer that they are "the worst part of Beautiful Digital". They view people as machines, and will prop you up with toxic positivity and "encourage" you, pushing past your boundaries when you’re already maxed out on bandwidth and past the point of burn out. They don’t listen to the needs of their staff, barely support implementing morale boosting activities, and being a member of senior staff just means you get to be the person blamed when things go wrong (because obviously the client can never be wrong even when they are). They take advantage of being young and hungry, and will happily never take the blame even when it’s their fault. You will learn stress, pain and heartbreak, and continuously wonder why you voluntarily put yourself in this situation. The pay doesn’t even cover the bare minimum, and there are virtually no benefits. Everyone is miserable because there aren’t resources in order to properly function, and then the accounts team is blamed for the company’s inefficiencies time and time again. As a result, it’s a revolving door of staff and clients. I wish I could post screenshots of the toxic environment that is Beautiful Digital because of the founders of the company. The founders are unfortunately involved in day-to-day operations, so there’s no escaping their hot headed, aggressive tempers, and you truly never know when the bomb will go off. This company is NOT worth the heartache.
