Pros

I would recommend Behavior Trend to anyone looking for a job in ABA. The company does a really great job assisting in managing burn-out and employee morale. When a parent cancels a session, they give you the option to help out around the office so that you can still get paid. I've worked in ABA before, and this was hands-down the best company I've worked for. It's the place to go if you're looking for long-term employment. The staff is friendly and supervisors genuinely care about you and want you to succeed. Also, it's nice that you get to go home at the end of the day and not have to take work with you.

Cons

Honestly? I have no cons that I can think of Maybe parking, but there is plenty of street parking and a few garage spots if you can grab them in time!

Pros

The work is inspiring because you learn each and every day how to become a better therapist. The kids are great, families are very appreciate, and the supportive culture is amazing. I enjoy working closely with my coworkers and supervisors.

Cons

None really, but as others have mentioned, parking can sometimes get a little difficult as there are limited spots. But, its LA and at least we get a few parking spots available.

Pros

-Learned from great therapists who supported you when working at the center -Possibility to get RBT certification after initial probation window -The business owner is great at teaching and helping therapists learn

Cons

-Sessions would frequently get cancelled last minute so it was challenging to maintain steady income. -Although office work was offered when sessions were cancelled, it was for minimum wage, far below my base hourly rate. -Didn't follow Covid Protocols during the 2021 year regarding notifying therapists of potential exposure. -Promised bonuses, didn't deliver & postponed payouts, then retroactively cancelled the bonus program and did not pay me promised bonuses after work was done. -Business owner was highly unprofessional and unethical regarding the issue of unpaid bonuses. -While the business owner is great at teaching her therapists how to work with children, she did not treat her business with professionalism or integrity.

Behavior Trend Response

So unfortunate when a disgruntled past employee goes on a rampage of reviews on here. If any potential candidate is truly curious about what it is like working at Behavior Trend, we will HAPPILY put a you in direct contact with any of our current staff and you can speak directly to our current staff PRIVATELY (no HR or supervisory staff on the line) to receive an ACCURATE portrayal of our work culture and atmosphere. I have no doubt our current staff will give potential candidates an honest review (no place is prefect) AND a better representation of what it is like to work at Behavior Trend. You can call our offices at 818.369.4440 and we will put potential candidates in touch with our current staff to speak with them privately and ask them any questions! I would like to note that a place that harvests “great therapists” who are “supportive” would not exist in a place that you deem an “unprofessional place to work”. I'm confident that those two cannot exist together. It is clear that our Clinical Director’s influence and leadership over the years has cultivated great therapists who feel supported and want to support others. Fortunately, your review is false and filled with assumptions. We followed all COVID protocols and STILL require staff to wear masks. Our HR department updated everyone constantly with the ever changing COVID procedures and protocols. It’s unfortunate you did not bring up your concerns during your time here because we have ZERO COVID-related concerns brought up to HR, the Clinical Director, or to any of our supervisors. Most ABA agencies don’t provide ANY type of alternative work when clients cancel. We do. Although it might not be the perfect option, having almost ALL of your hours covered is better than having 0 hours when clients cancel. In addition, you had the option of asking off a case IF your clients' cancellations were high. We have received $0 from parents cancelling a session. Although we mention a cancellation fee to parents, we have NEVER charged a family for cancelling a session. Therapists are not privy to information regarding if we charged a client or not and your assumption is misleading. We have THE best therapists working here and most of our staff stay for a longer period compared to our competition. We hire only a couple of times a year – as compared to other agencies who hire multiple times almost every other week or every month. So “keeping more quality therapists” is actually not a concern for our company. Lastly, all our employees get paid the amount they are offered in their offer letter and based on how many hours they work in that pay period. We never received a complaint about this. Again, if anyone is curious about what it is like to work at Behavior Trend, give us a call at 818.369.4440 and we will put you in contact with any of our current staff and you can have a private conversation with our staff and ask them any question you desire to truly understand what it is like working here.
