Don't be fooled by all of the glowing reviews posted by management on this site. Belmark's "family" orientation only is applicable to you if you are part of the right family. The owners family, or a few that have been around for several years. Their main principles of "open and honest" communication are not even followed by their management teams. When employees go to their managers with open and honest communication and feedback, or simply need help from their manager, often nothing is done, people causing the problem are rewarded and you are continually treated poorly. I have seen managers who boast Belmark's room for growth, and opportunity purposely sabotage their employee's inter-company interview. Go to HR with a harassment issue, they won't do anything about it. They'll count on the manager who is harassing you to take action. Managers will love you if you stay under the radar, are not good at your job, cause tons of drama, and come to work and gossip. But if you come to work, do your job, and avoid gossip, you will be treated poorly, and like an outsider. Often you're told "you need to do what you need to do to take care of the customer's" however the action you're expected to make is blatantly going against their principle of "taking care of others, and doing what is right" I would not recommend this company to anyone, I wish I hadn't wasted my last four years working here where I've been continually harassed, and treated poorly. Company boasts that "you'll never find a company more flexible than Belmark" but you'll get written up for being in at 8:02 for your desk job. Never mind the fact that you always stay late and work thru your lunch, 8:02 for your 8:00am start time is still completely unacceptable.
