Pros
*Their entry level team rotation system does a good job finding where you fit in at the company. You work on four different teams in half-year stints, and go where you resonate with best afterwards. Lots of different technologies, management styles, etc. Though I have heard this program is going downhill after being revamped by recent management. *Average at best starting pay *WLB was overall solid in my experience
Cons
*Benefits package is very unimpressive. Nothing to write home about. *Career progression is very undefined. No defined path of what differentiates SE I from SE II and so on. If you're ambitious about your career and not on the right team, you will not like it here. *I received very poor communication from my manager about my performance. Without warning or any prior discussion, I was let go for "performance related issues". During the conversation, I was never presented with evidence or reasoning for my wrongdoing, and the manager later sent out an email to my team painting the farewell picture as if I were the one "moving on to new opportunities". Entirely false, unprofessional, and slimy behavior. This is not an isolated incident, either. In my three years at Bentley, three other former colleagues on different teams had the same exact story of getting released seemingly out of nowhere. Watch your back while working here.
