Pros
Overstock.com pays their employees fairly well for starting out. They do provide their empolyees with two fifteen minute breaks and one thirty minute lunch.
Cons
They do not pay their employees due to experience. I have been in the customer survice industry for the past nine years and make the same as a kid in high school that works at Overstock.com. Sicne I have been with Overstock.com I have slowly grown to wonder how they have been around for ten years. The company stress how important customer satisfaction is, yet management stress getting a certain amount of contacts, which leads employees to cut corners on doing their job. Rather than taking the time in reading what is going on in a particular incident, employees will touch the incident enough to make a "contact out of it". If the economy was not in the shape that it is in and jobs where readily available, I would leave Overstock.com and go to where the work that I do can be appreciated.
