I was formerly customer service adjacent, let me tell you, it’s a circus. The CS directors have no idea how to effectively manage people. If you speak to any one In cs it’s the same story, they are all miserable and no one in leadership cares. Someone had the brilliant idea to fire our long term bpo and hire a new one, the new one is failing they already had to drop part of it, and leadership is flailing around trying to figure out how to keep customers. The whole department is so understaffed that customers are waiting weeks for a response to emails and phone calls. No one has the energy to be positive and motivational anymore.
