Things move so slowly here (used to american laws and work pace). Some positions make no sense, and you cant really progress professionally unless you have a phd. Lab and office spaces are very poorly planned. I came here from America (spent everything I had to come here) to work based on the notion that they would offer me a permanent contract after my 2 year contact. Something big happened within the company (a loss but this is normal with R&D companies), and they didn't even communicate to all foreign workers who won't get a new contract. They simply let the contracts end with not so much as an email. They did, however, have enough money to rent out the stadium for a summer party, but not enough to offer permanent contracts. So now I'm left scrambling to try to stay in the country and STILL absolutely no communication at all. Foreign hires beware. They do not care about you.
